The Milano axe blade is about 4 3/4 inches wide from the top to the bottom of the cutting edge and 6 inches long from the top of the blade to the end of the poll. The Straight handle is 17 1/2 inches. overall weight of the axe 2.1 lbs. These are hand made in Italy so the handles may have blemishes, each axe is truly unique. The straight handle and big head is great for powerful blows that allows for very rapid felling. The Italian style Axes are wonderful and have many advantages over "Western" style chopping and felling Axes, with slip through tomahawk Style handle that are easy to replace witch is a hint to there original origins.
